Morgan Drexen Supports Responsible Credit Card Use
Although Morgan Drexen encourages conservative use of credit cards, experts say that there are 6 purchases you should always charge on your credit card. These purchases include big-ticket items, service provider purchases, travel expenses, fragile items, automatic recurring purchases and PayPal purchases.
Morgan Drexen attorney-client Cambie E. from New Jersey realized just this after years of struggling with credit card debt.
“If I see something where I need to make a major purchase I save for it so I have the money and then perhaps charge it. I wait to until I have the money. If an emergency comes along and you have to crack the credit card for something that is will be the only purchase,” explains Cambie.
Before Cambie learned her financial know-how however, she was laid-off from her job and struggling to pay for her living expenses, “I wasn’t even able to make the minimum payments after awhile. At one time I was using the credit cards to buy groceries and I took a cash advance of $1400 to pay the rent.”
Cambie engaged in a non-formal debt resolution program with Howard | Nassiri, supported by Morgan Drexen because she wanted to be responsible for her debt.
“You have all intentions of paying off your debt but for the two cards even the two minimum payments were too high for me to keep up with. It was just too much. So this way I could have one reasonable monthly payment,” says Cambie.
Cambie also began a career as a teacher while her accounts were engaged and found comfort in knowing she had the support of Morgan Drexen and the law firm, “I paid for the convenience. I needed something that would just take the stress away. It’s a stress factor. My first debt got settled quickly and I knew it would all get paid off in a year or two.”
Today with the legal help from the law firm and support services of Morgan Drexen Inc, Cambie has settled all her engaged accounts and is living debt-free.
“It’s like a burden just left me. You feel lighter literally. I actually have money to buy the little things I might want and the knowledge to use credit cards properly. I’m better educated on personal finance from this experience.”
“If a consumer is thinking about applying for and using a credit card for specific purchases they need to make sure that they read all the information and fine print in regards to the terms of the card. While there are some good reasons to utilize a credit card it is important to be educated and conservative,” says Morgan Drexen CFO David Walker.
